The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, January 17, 1983

Joseph P. Klein, Jr., 62, of Townsend Road, Route 1, Pewamo, died suddenly 
Jan. 15.  Born March 17, 1920, he was the son of Joseph and Clara Fedewa Klein.

Surviving are his wife, Eleanora; four sons, Donald, Henry, Roger and David, 
all of Pewamo; three daughters, Mrs. Donna Schrauben, Mrs. Letha Goodman, and 
Theresa Laskosky, all of Portland; and 12 grandchildren.  Also surviving are a 
brother, Stephen, of Pewamo; two sisters, Mrs. Theodora Trierweiler of 
Portland; and Mrs. Rosalyn Dase of Lansing.

A farmer, he was also employed at the Devereaux Saw Mill, Pewamo.  He was also 
a member of Knights of Columbus.

Scripture rosary service will be Monday at  8 p.m. at St. Mary’s Chapel, 
Westphalia.  Funeral mass will  be Tuesday at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph’s 
Church, Pewamo, the Rev. Isidro Garganteil officiating.  Burial will be in St. 
Joseph’s Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Gary Hendee, Thomas Weber, Gerald 
Smith, and Ronald, Patrick and Larry Klein.  Arrangements have been made by 
the Neller Funeral Home, Portland.
