Betty Alice Klein, 87, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Belding, today is dancing 
on the streets of gold.  She passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 30 after a 
long battle with Parkinson's disease.  Betty was born on Oct. 15, 1926.

She is survived by her eight children, 19 grandchildren and 34 great 
grandchildren whose photos she proudly displayed in her room and all over the 
refrigerator: Ted and Sonja Klein, Barb and Jon Luscombe, Deb and Ron Hopkins, 
Duane and Sue Klein, Todd and Carol Klein, Dawn, Denise and Diane Klein; 
nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list, but not forgotten.

Betty is reunited with her first love and Marine husband, Howard Nevins, who 
passed away when he was 19 and also with her second love and Army Air Corps 
husband, Merlin Klein "Daddy" and Grandpa to all of the above children.  She is 
preceded in death by her parents, Clara A. LaFond and Sidney D. LaFond and son, 
Daryl Lee Klein and three siblings.

Special thanks to Faith Hospice for all of their support, AAOA of West Michigan 
and Visiting Angels.

In honor of Betty's wishes, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will 
be held at Seymour Christian Reformed Church on Friday, Jan. 3, at 11 a.m.  
There will be a luncheon to follow immediately after for a time to gather with 
family and friends.
