Ionia County News-Thurs. Feb. 28, 1952

JOSEPH J. KLEIN , SR.
Joseph J. Klein, Sr., passed away suddenly on Thursday morning, February 21, at his
farm home north and east of Pewamo, while helping with the farm chores. Mr. Klein had not
been in very good health for some time but was not contented unless he was giving a
helping hand.

Funeral service was held Monday morning from St. Joseph's church. Interment in St. 
Joseph's cemetery. Besides the widow, he is survived by four sons and two daughters.

Stephen at home; Joseph and Roman of Pewamo, and Norman of Portland; Rosaline Dase 
of Lansing, and Theodora Trierweiler of Portland. Nineteen grandchildren, two
sisters, Mrs. Math Miller of Fowler and Mrs. Helena Fedewa of Westphalia; four brothers, Peter of

Fowler, William of Ionia, George and Louis of Westphalia.

Mr. Klein was born at Westphalia on September 7, 1884, to Mrs. and Mrs. (Anna
Scmidt) Klein. April 20, 1910, he was married to Clara Fedewa, and they moved to their
present home.
