(BUD) KLEIN LAKE ODESSA - Warren O. (Bud) Klein 67 of 801 Jordan Lake Street, Lake Odessa died Wednesday morning at Butterworth Hospital where he had been for the past two weeks. He was born August 3, 1924, in Hospers Iowa, the son of Frank and Alice Hoffs Klein. His family moved to the Lake Odessa area in 1937 and he was graduated from Lake Odessa High School in 1943. He married Marian Curtis in 1952. In 1945 he was employed by the Gibson Refrigerator Company at Belding as regional service manager. When this company was purchased by the Hupp Corp., he became accounts manager of the General Appliance Corporation Division. In 1962 he was named vice president and in 1968 president of the General Appliance Corp. The White Consolaidated Corporation bought the company in 1972 and he was named president of Belding Produccts Company, Air Conditioning Division. He retained this position until his retirement in 1983. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was a member of the Lake Odessa Lions Club and the Central United Methodist Church of Lake Odessa. He is survived by his wife Marian; three sons, Franklin Klein of Grand Rapids, and Randy and Ron Klein of Lake Odessa; one granddaughter, Lynsey Joy Klein; one brother M. A. Klein of Lake Odessa. A sister, Iola Price, preceded him in death in 1982. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Koops Funeral Chapel of Lake Odessa, the Rev. Charles Richards, the Rev. Sherwood Durkee and the Rev. Ward Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa, The family will be at the funeral home Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A memorial has been established for the Lake Odessa Ambulance Service, in care of the funeral home.
