                             ROBERT J.KLEIN

IONIA - Robert J. Klein, 64, of 815 Chapman St., Ionia, died Sept. 11 at his 
residence.

He was born March 28, 1922, at Fowler, the son of Edmund and Josephine Look 
Klein.

He graduated from ionia High School in 1940. He also attended Davenport Business 
School.

He married Harriet M. Gemuend on July 5, 1947, at Ionia.

He worked for the Start of Michigan Department of Correction for 27 years, 
retiring as Captain with the Michigan Training Unit.He was a member of the SS. 
Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are his wife, Harriet M.; one daughter, Mrs.James (Barbara) Poole 
ofKentwood; two sons, Robert J.Klein of Atlanta, Georgia and James S.Klein of 
Ionia; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs.Robert(Stella) Boyle of Walnut Creek, 
Calif.; one brother, Theodore Klein of Ocala, Fla.; several nieces and  nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Klein in 1964.

Funeral services will be held at the SS.Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Saturday 
at 11 a.m.

A Memorial has been established for Ss.Peter & Paul Church, in care of 
Montgomery-Leddick Funeral Home, which made arrangements.
