Ionia Sentinel Standard, 16 Oct 1992

Harriet M. Klein, 70, of Ionia died on Thursday at her home.  She was born the
daughter of Harry and Laura Koster Gemuend on Aug. 17, 1922, in Ionia.  She was
graduated from SS. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Academy and Western Michigan
University.  She was an elementary school teacher with the Ionia Public Schools
for 25 years.  She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church and a
member of the St. Cecelia Rosary Circle.

She is survived by two sons, Robert of Atlanta, Georgia and Dr. James of Palo;
one daughter, Barbara Poole of Kentwood; five grandchildren; and one brother
Harry Gemeund Jr. of Detroit.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Klein in 1986; her daughter
Carol Klein and her brother Robert Gemuend in 1984.

The funeral mass and committal services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at SS. Peter
and Paul’s Catholic Church, Ionia, with the Rev. Charles Hall officiating.  The
organist will be Mary Cusack.  Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
