The Ionia Sentinel, Monday, August 29, 1966
John Klenk, 95, passed away suddenly at his home, 997 Hackett street, Sunday.  
He was born July 15, 1871 in Ionia and lived here all his life and attended 
the Ionia public schools.  He married Katherine Newman in 1902 in Ionia and 
she passed away May 30, 1956.  Mr. Klenk was a retired cigar maker.

Surviving is one daughter. Mrs. Cecil Wilcox of Battle Creek, one son, John 
Klenk of Columbia, California, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, 
and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery and final arrangements are being 
made by Myers funeral home.
