February 25, 2024 Excerpts from Lansing Obituary MICHAEL C. KLEPAC Died Tuesday February 13, 2024-age 75, of Portland. Born November 11, 1948 the son of Charles & Dolores (Sladek)Klepac. Mike had a diverse array of hobbies and interest. An avid collector of guns and coins & metal detecting. His love for the outdoors led him to Gold panning, hunting & fishing. Mike was a skilled craftsman, in woodworking.Even raising chickens. He had a passion for military history & the Wild West & studied those subjects. Mike volunteered time to the community supporting causes such as Toy for Tots & other charities. Mike served in the US Marine Corps & was wounded in Vietnam & received the purple Heart for his courage & sacrifice. He worked over 30 years at Fisher Body. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife,Cecilia (Bensen); brothers, David Klepac; and nephew, David Klepac & Jason Bailey. Survived by his sons, Matthew Klepac, Joseph (Caitlin) Klepac, & Thomas (Jackie) Klepac; grandchildren,Jameson, Charlotte, Spencer, & Kinsey; siblings, Jane Klepac, Mary Klepac, & Charles Klepac. Services will be held at Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E.Bridge St.,Portland on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. in honor of Michael.
