Kline, aged 60 years, passed away at Greenville United Memorial hospital Monday night, where he had been a patient for the past five weeks. He was first afflicted with a sore on his foot and later when gangrene developed, he was found to be a victim of sugar diabetes. He was born in St. Louis and came to this city 40 years ago to make his home. He was a machinist by trade and in later years had worked at the Belding Hosiery mill, the Belding Tool and Machine Co. and the Federal Mogul in Greenville. He leaves to mourn their loss, the widow, Edna; three sons, Lyle of Detroit, Donald, who is in service in the Philippines and Ronald of Grand Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. F. D. Hofmann of Rodeo, Calif., and Doris at home, and one brother, Frank, of Detroit, also eight grandchildren, and his aged father, who had made his home with him. Funeral services will be conducted today at 2:30 at Fitzjohn’s funeral home, Rev. Thomas Rice of the Methodist church officiating and burial will be in River Ridge cemetery, where the Masonic order, of which he was a member, will conduct memorial services. Pallbearers will be Bert Gregg, George Wortman, Maurice Clements, Byrell Currie, Harry Seymour and Percy Pickup.
