Letha was born October 12, 1916 in Gowen, to Charles and Jessie Hankey Peasley. She was raised in Gowen, Belding and Orleans and attended Gowen Country Schools. She worked for Belding Brothers Silk Mill and as a phone operator in Orleans. On May 25, 1946 Letha married Donald Kline at his parents’ home in Belding. Letha was the oldest living member of Belding Bible Church and played the organ there for almost 50 years. Her hobbies included sewing, playing the organ and piano and collecting thimbles and spoons. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; and great- grandchild, Bailey. Letha is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Ray and Katherine Kline of Orleans, Terry Charles and Jeannie Kline of Grant; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Charles Moore of Shelby, Montana; six grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Services are 3 p.m. Sunday at Huffman-Brigham Funeral Chapel, Belding, with the Rev. Kenneth Martin officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel.
