Hattie Esther Kline, 89, of Lyons Township, passed away Dec. 12, 2000 at 
Heartland Health Care Center.

She was born Nov. 6, 1911, the daughter of John and Mary Kline. She married 
John Kline in May of 1930. Mrs. Kline spent 20 years as a Gray Lady in Ionia 
area.

She is survived by her husband, John Kline of 70 years; sons, Robert Kline of 
Sydney, Larry (Beatrice) Kline of Ionia, David (Lynn) Kline of Muir and Richard 
(Barbara) Kline of Diamondale; one daughter, Joyce (Milton) Powers of Phoenix, 
Ariz.; 21 grandchildren and 37 and one-half great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond and William Kline and one 
daughter, Joan Kline.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kline will be 1 p.m., Saturday at Lincoln Avenue 
Baptist Church with Pastor Darren Tharp officiating. Visitation will be 2 p.m. 
to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday at the Hull Memorial Chapel of the 
Lake Funeral Homes of Muir.
