The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Wednesday, March 29, 1916

Mrs. Mary Kling, widow of Jacob Kling, died this morning at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. J. F. Wagner.  Deceased was one of the old settlers of this 
vicinity, was born in Wurtemburg, Germany, 79 years ago, coming to this 
country at a very early age.  

She is survived by five sons, George, William and Herbert of Grand Rapids, 
Charles of Palo, Albert of Des Moines, Ia.; and one daughter, Mrs. J. P. 
Wagner, of this city.  

The funeral services will be held at the Wagner home Friday at 1:30 and at the 
Evangelical church at 2.  Interment in Highland Park.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Kling were held this afternoon at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs. J. F. Wagner, at 1:30 and at the Evangelical church at 
2:00, Rev. C. F. Gieses officiating.  Mrs. Thane Benedict and Mrs. G. M.. 
Phelps sang.  The bearers were William, Charles, Herbert and George Kling, 
sons of deceased, Ralph Kling, a grandson, and J. F. Wagner.  Burial was in 
Highland Park.
