Several from this locality attended the funeral for Mrs. Chas. Kling which was 
held for the Evangelical church in Ionia last Wednesday conducted by Rev. A.R. 
Kuehn. Mrs. Kling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Baldie was born in Ionia Oct. 
17, 1870. On Jan. 4, 1893, she was united in marriage to C.L. Kling and moved 
to Palo in 1900 where they have since made their home. She was a regular 
attendant of the Palo Baptist church, a member of the Palo O.E.S., Ionia White 
Shrine, Ionia Garden club and the Maccabees of Palo. Interment was in the 
Ionia Oak Hill cemetery.
