Kling, who died at Spokane, will arrive here tomorrow morning. Funeral at 2 p.m. tomorrow, from home of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Wagner, 305 north Rich street, Rev. J. R. Niergarth officiating. Interment in Highland Park. ---- Burial of Fred L. Kling. The remains of Fred L. Kling arrived from Spokane on mid-day train on Tuesday, and were taken thence to the home of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Wagner, on North Rich street, whence the funeral was attended at 2 o’clock same afternoon. Rev. J. R. Niergarth officiated, and the singing was by Mrs. Thane Benedict and Miss Luella Wright, with Miss Frances Gillett at the piano. Besides the family friends, there was also in attendance quite a number of the former shopmates of deceased – machinists from the Pere Marquette shops. The carriers were the five surviving brothers: William J. and George W. of Grand Rapids, Charles L. of Palo, Albert J., Herb J., and brother-in-law, John F. Wagner, of this city. The aged parents of deceased, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kling, pioneer residents of Ionia, and one sister, Mrs. John F. Wagner, also survive. Death followed an operation for effusive pleurisy. He had been out of hospital four days, and was supposed to be mending satisfactorily, but he finally succumbed to his weakened condition. While of modest demeanor, yet Fred Kling was a young man of positive ways and a staunch friend, [unreadable words]… grieve at his demise at the age of only 34 years.
