Funeral at Home, West of Town, Monday Afternoon. John Klingman, well known farmer living one-half mile west of Lake Odessa, passed away Friday, May 13 after an illness of several months. Mr. Klingman was wall known in this community, having lived here for 32 years. He leaves a devoted wife and one granddaughter. The funeral was held at the home on Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock and was largely attended by relatives and friends. Rev. G. J. Start delivered the sermon and Mrs. Manley Martindale and Mrs. G. J. Start sang. Burial at Lakeside cemetery. Obituary John Klingman, son of David and Mary Klingman was born on July 12, 1861, and passed away on May 13, 1932, at the age of 70 years, nine months and 13 days. He was born in Gaines township, Kent county, and lived there until April 30, 1900, when he moved to his present home, making 32 years of useful service in this community. Mr. Klingman was united in marriage to Maria Sherington on July 3, 1887, and to this union three daughters were born, two dying in infancy, and Eliza Ellen, the wife of Leander Peacock, who passed away on August 13, 1925. He leaves to mourn their loss, his devoted wife, one granddaughter Helen Ileen Peacock, and two half-brothers.
