          ODESSA PIONEER DIED MONDAY EVENING
                 AFTER A PROLONGED ILLNESS
                                  ------------
   Jake Klingman, who for many years lived on his farm west of town, died at his
home Monday evening.
   On account of poor health the Klingman's sold their house wet of town and moved
to Lake Odessa, purchasing what is known as the Cheetham house, almost three years ago.
   Mr. Klingman has been a patient sufferer.  He leaves two daughters and one son,
besides his widow.
   The funeral was held at the Calvary U. B. Church Thursday afternoon, Rev. I. H.
Mourer preaching.
