Klintworth 72 passed away early Friday morning at Pennock hospital, Hastings, where he had been a patient about a week. He moved to Ionia County from the Spring Lake area and farmed for seven years. He also was field man for the Lansing Sugar Beet Co., for seven years. Mr. Klintworth retired in 1949 and moved to the village after being employed as sexton of the Lakeside cemetery for 21 years. A member of the local Rebekah Lodge, also the Odd Fellows and was a Past Grand of the latter, as well as a Past Master of the Lakeside Grange. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy, a daughter Mrs. George Partin of Houston Texas, a granddaughter Mary, three sisters, Mrs. Grover Baker of Otsego, Mrs. N.P. Mergner and Mrs. Henri DeVries, both of Spring Lake, four brothers, Martin and Henry of Anchor, Ill., Phillip of Lansing and Michael of Otsego. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 at the Pickens chapel with burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. A.J. Pitman officiated. The Rebekah and Odd Fellow members attended in a body.
