Kloeckner, 82, of Portland passed away Dec. 1, 2004. He was born on February 15, 1922 in Westphalia the son of Mathias and Mary (Belen) Kloeckner. Dick was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Portland, the Portland Knights of Columbus Council #2168, and a 4th Degree member of the Fr. Godez Assembly. He retired from the Consumers Power Company after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his daughter Janet Kloeckner; brothers Hilary, Arthur, and Harold Kloeckner; sisters, Vera Spitzley, Alma Thelen, and Pauline Williams. Surviving are his wife, Mary A. Kloeckner; daughter, Sue (Scott) Thelen of Westphalia; 2 granddaughters, Krysta and Marissa; sisters, Margaret Masseau of Lansing, Laurine Sebrell of Lansing, Winifred Thelen of Westphalia, Germaine Walker of Lansing, Joann (Norman) Cook of Pewamo, and Patricia (DJ) Mace of Lansing; brother, Donald (friend Peggy) Kloeckner of Holt; several nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Dec. 4 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Fr. Larry King, Pastor presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Portland.
