Lake Odessa Wave, 11 May 1978

Mrs. Vera Klopfenstein, age 86, of Lake Odessa, died Tuesday at Pennock Hospital
where she had been a patient for one day.  She was born in Ionia County June 15,
1891, the daughter of Oscar and Emma Jackson Clemens.

Mrs. Klopfenstein attended Rosenberger School near Clarksville and Lake Odessa
High School.  She married Charles Klopfenstein March 26, 1910.  He preceded her
in death July 13, 1966.

Mrs. Klopfenstein was a lifelong area resident and attended Grace Brethren
Church.  She was a member of WMC, Woodland Hobby Club, a charter member of the
Merry Social Club and Pennock Hospital Guild.

Survivors include: two sons, Glendull and Gaylord, both of Lake Odessa; five
grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday at 1n p.m. at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel in
Lake Odessa with Rev. William Stevens officiating.  Burial in the Lakeside
Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Association.
