Funeral Tuesday. After a long, lingering illness Cord Knapp passed away Sunday at the home of his brother, Lawrence Knapp with whom he has made his home for several years. Mr. Knapp was a loyal member of the Odd Fellows of Lake Odessa for many years and was regular in attendance as long as his health permitted. He leaves no family excepting two brothers Wilson of Spokane, Wash., and his brother Lawrence who has cared for him. The funeral was held in the Knapp home, near the greenhouse, Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. R. E. Uhrig officiating and Mrs. D. A. Mourer and Mrs. William George singing two selections. Burial was at Lakeside. He was 65 years of age. ---- Cord Wilbur Knapp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Knapp, was born in Odessa township, June 24, 1874, and departed this life February 11, 1939, aged 64 years, seven months and 17 days. He lived on a farm west of Lake Odessa until five years ago when his health failed. Since then he has made his home with his brother Lawrence. He was an active member of the Odd Fellow lodge until his health failed. He leaves to mourn their loss four brothers, Lawrence of Lake Odessa, Wilson and Jesse of Spokane, Wash., and Ernest of Seattle, Wash., besides a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
