Ionia Sentinel, 18 Nov 1971

Word was received in Ionia this week of the death of Willard R. Knapp, 79, at 
Mesa, Ariz., November 8.  He had been in the grocery business in Ionia several 
years at the corner of West Lincoln avenue and State street.  Mrs. Knapp was a 
teacher with the Ionia school system.  After disposing of the business property 
in Ionia the family moved to Portland and later went to Arizona in 1958.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Catherine, include a son, John of Lansing; 
and two daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Knapp of Westminster, Calif. and Mrs. Carolyn 
Darling of Glendale, Calif.; five grandchildren, two great grand children, and 
a sister.
