The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, July 12, 1954

Funeral services for Lamont M. Knapp, Lyons, were conducted Friday at 2 p.m. 
from the Shaw-Rivett funeral home in Muir.  The Rev. Mr. Herbert E. Wylie of 
Lyons officiated.  Piano music was by Mrs. Milo B. White of Muir.

Bearers were Bert Benjamin of Pewamo, Lewis Young and Ross Confer, of Muir, 
Frank Stout, George Vance and Aug Essig of Ionia.  Burial was in the Tuttle 
cemetery.

Among those from away were Mrs. Carrie Hoffman, Mrs. C. Dahlke and daughter 
Joyce, Detroit; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Brown, Mrs. Ernest Farmer, Mrs. Irene 
Snyder, Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. George Herdlein, Mrs. Flossie Knapp, Mt. 
Pleasant; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Counsellor and son LaVern, St. Johns, Mr. and Mrs. 
Lewis Schmidt, Fowler; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Wride and two daughters, Ada; Mr. 
and Mrs. William Keehn, Eaton Rapids; Mrs. Lela McCauley, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan 
Baldwin, Mr. and Mrs. David Gates, Blanchard; Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Knauss, 
Breckenridge; Miss Pauline David, Lansing; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Freemire, 
Sunfield; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Root, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Root and Marlene, 
Mulliken; Mrs. Robert Roth, Grand Ledge.  There were also many present from 
Ionia, Lyons and Muir.
