Elaine Mae Knapp, 87, of Belding died early Thursday morning, Jan. 3, 2008 at 
Metron of Belding Nursing Home.  Elaine was born on Jan. 29, 1920 in Lansing 
the daughter of Herman and Iva Monroe Rogers.  Elaine was a member of the 
Greene Corner Baptist Church.  She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, 
knitting, shopping and spending time with her family.  She will be greatly 
missed.

Elaine was married on Nov. 15, 1939 in Lansing to Norman Knapp Sr. and he 
preceded her in 1999.  She was also preceded by her parents and one sister, 
Julia Barton in 1998.  Elaine is survived by her children, Marye Anne (Curt) 
Bradley of Greenville, Alicia (Bill) Feehan of Belding and Norman L. (Susan) 
Knapp of Rockford.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Steve and Cindy 
Aley, Leigh Ann and Allen Sias, Timothy Aley, Christine, Heather, Elizabeth 
and Bill Jr. Feehan, Angie and Glen Bies, Nikki and Ben Gladd, Rachelle Knapp, 
Marie Todd and Peggy and Rick.  Elaine is also survived by several great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, 
Belding with Pastor Mike Haefner of the First Congregational Church of 
Greenville officiating.  Interment will follow in River Ridge Cemetery.  
Visitation will be Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 .m. at the funeral home.  Memorial 
contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
