Ionia Sentinel Standard, 20 May 1935

Mrs. Amanda A. Knapp, wife of Charles Knapp, 77 years of age, died at her home
in Bushnell Sunday morning at 7:30 o’clock following a stroke of apoplexy which
occurred nearly three weeks ago.  Mrs. Knapp came to Michigan from Ohio with her
parents when she was seven years old and they made their home in Bushnell.  She
was married in 1878 in Bushnell and has lived in that vicinity ever since.

Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Wallace Perrin and Mrs. Otis
Newcomb, of Ionia, and Mrs. George Worthy, of Bushnell; two sons, Fred, of
Bushnell and LaVerne, of California, one adopted son, Dee Knapp, of Battle
Creek, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted from the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock
with the Rev. McGinnis, former Methodist pastor of Palo officiating.  Burial at
Palo cemetery.
