Arthur L. Knapp, 88 of Greenville, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2006, at
Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids.  He was born June 15, 1917, in
Lakeview, the son of Floyd S. and Anna J. Wilson Knapp Sr.  Arthur was a member
of Turk Lake United Methodist church, Greenville Moose Lodge and American Legion
Post 101 of Greenville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Roger Knapp, in 1962, grandson,
Nathan Jensen, in 1996; and wives, Margaret, in 1979, and Elna, in 2004.  He is
survived by his children, Gerald and Marilyn Knapp of Greenville, Alice and
Leland Jensen of Edmore, Bob and Betty Knapp of Greenville; nine grandchildren,
Troy and Marie Knapp, Kevin and Kathie Knapp, Lori and Ken Havenkamp, Wayne and
Melinda Jensen, Teresa and Rod Christensen, Christi and Tim Moravik, Karen and
Jeff Gawel, Kim and Ken Wall, Lisa and Todd Anderson; 14 great-grandchildren;
one great-great granddaughter; brothers, Floyd Jr. and Carolyn Knapp of
Greenville, Howard and Barbara Knapp of Baldwin; sister, Marguerite and Ronald
Johnson of Greenville; stepchildren, Susan and Jerry Zahm of Belding, Tom and
Barb Sydow of Wisconsin, Jerry and Darlene Sydow of Orleans; and
step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Turk Lake United Methodist Church with
Pastor Kay Welsch officiating.  Burial is in Rest Haven Memory Gardens. 
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville,
and from 1;30 p.m. until the service Sunday at the church.  Memorial
contributions may be made in Arthur’s name to Turk Lake United Methodist Church.
