L. KNAPP FUNERAL HELD SUNDAY 3 P.M. ---------- FORMER COMMANDANT OF LANSING SALVATION ARMY. LEAVES TWO BROTHERS HERE. ---------- John L. Knapp, a brother of Cord and Lawrence Knapp, who live west of town, died at his home in Lansing Thursday evening. The remains were taken to the Neller-Smith funeral home Sunday morning where services were held at 1:30, then they were brought to Lake Odessa where - a service was held at Central Methodist church under the auspices of the Salvation Army. Burial was at Lakeside cemetery where his parents and a brother are buried. He leaves his wife Etta, two daughters Mrs. Letha Nunheimer and Miss Lilas Knapp, two sons, Owen and Arnold, all of Lansing, besides the brothers named above there are three, Jesse and Hubert in Washington and Ernest in Montana. Mr. Knapp resided at 1124 Cleveland street, Lansing, and was employed in the title division of the department of state. he was a former commandant of the Salvation Army of Lansing.
