July 29, 1925 PETER KNAPP DIES AT HOME OF SON Well Known Sebewa Pioneer Passes Away Suddenly Peter F. Knapp, a resident of Sebewa for many years, was found dead in bed at the home of his son, Lawrence at Sebewa Corners, Monday. He had been residing at Lake Odessa of late and had been in poor health. Two or three days before his death, the son brought him to Sebewa. Early Monday morning he went to his father's room and found him sleeping. He did not wake him. Some time later, members of the family, entering the room, found him dead. He had been having trouble with his heart for some time. He was 70 years old. Funeral services were held Wednesday and burial was in Danby cemetery by the side of his first wife, who was a sister of Frank and Geo. Erdman, of Danby. There were two children, both surviving, Mr. Glenn Turner, Sunfield and Lawrence, Sebewa. Years ago Mr. Knapp conducted a store at Sebewa Corners. Later he became a Star route carrier, working out of the Sunfield office. He was a member of Sebewa I.O.O.F. Lodge, the members attending his funeral.
