March 29, 1918 OBITUARY Wilbur Knapp was born in Eagle township, Clinton County, Nov. 6, 1849 and departed from this life March 18, 1918. When ten years of age he moved with his parents to Berlin township, Ionia County, residing there about thirty-seven years. For eleven years he made his home with his sister, Mrs.John Seybold in Odessa township and spent the remainder of his life in his own home under the faithful care of his niece, Miss Amelia Terry. Besides a host of friends and other relatives he leave to mourn their loss, two sisters, Mrs.John Seybold of Odessa and Mrs.Ben Terry of Gowen and one brother, Edgar Knapp of Berlin, they being the only one left of a family of thirteen. From early life he has suffered much from rheumatism, his death being hastened by stomach trouble. In his early years he embraced Christianity, but was kept from active service by his affliction. At the our of death he expressed a willingness to meet his Lord. Funeral services were held at the home of the deceased Wednesday, March 20th, conducted by Rev. J.H. Mourer assisted by Rev.C.S.
