The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, February 5, 1948
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in Sunfield for Lawrence E. 
Knapp, whose death occurred January 28 in Bradenton, Fla.  He had been a 
resident of Sebewa nearly all his life.

He was born September 24, 1877 in Ionia county and served as a rural mail 
carrier out of Sunfield for thirty years.  About 12 years ago he was retired.

Surviving him are his wife, May; one son, Howard, and a grandson. Gerald of 
Lansing, and a sister, Mrs. Maude Turner of Sunfield.

The Rev. Harold Arman of the M. E. church officiated and burial was in Danby 
cemetery.  Bearers were Burr Duff, Percy Ball, Don Benschoter, Carl Rischau, 
Sydney Brown and Gormie Bailey.

Mr. and Mrs. Knapp had been spending the winter in Florida.
