The Ionia Daily Standard, Monday, May 18, 1891


Eliza, wife of Arthur Knapp, of North Plains, died very suddenly Saturday.  
They had been married only about a year.  On Saturday morning Mr. Knapp went 
early to the field to plant corn, and on returning about 8 o’clock found his 
wife lying on the bed stiff in death.  She had apparently been dead about an 
hour, and had been in usual health up to that time.  Mrs. Knapp was sister to 
the Kildove boy killed twelve years ago last winter by a companion in the road 
north of Muir.  She was 32 years of age and the last of the family.  The 
funeral was held at 2 o’clock this afternoon from the North Plains church.
