The Ionia Daily Standard, Monday, February 7, 1916
A telegram was received here this morning by Mrs. F. T. Mason, from her 
cousin, Mrs. F. T. Kneeland, of St. Louis, Michigan, announcing the death of 
Mr. Kneeland which occurred a six o’clock this morning.  Mrs. Kneeland is a 
daughter of Rev. Alex W. Dodge, who with his family were pioneer residents of 
Ionia, and the deceased was also well known by many of the older people of the 
city.  Mr. and Mrs. Kneeland were married in Ionia in 1881.  One daughter and 
one son also survive.  Deceased was a prominent real estate dealer in St. 
Louis and Ann Arbor, and was a man greatly esteemed.  Funeral on Wednesday, 
and the venerable father-in-law will preach the funeral discourse.
