She had been in poor health for 8 years. She was born in Chicago, Ill. September 19, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lassen. She became the bride of Mr. Olshack in 1909 in Chicago and he died there in 1923. She married her present husband, August Knickrehm, in August, 1936. An Ionia resident for 11 years, she is a number of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran church and of the Ladies Aid society of that church. She is survived by her husband, August; four daughters, Mrs. Robert Weins of Gilroy, Calif., Mrs. Louis Emery of Pontiac, and Mrs. Maurice Weiers and Mrs. Harry Showers of Ionia; one son, Willard Olshack of Ionia; 14 grandchildren; four sisters, Miss Anna Lassen, Miss Clara Lassen and Mrs. Ted Fett, all of Chicago, and Mrs. Walter Peters of Roselle, Ill. Funeral services will be conducted from the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 preceded by prayer service for the family at Boynton’s funeral home at 2 o’clock. Interment will be in Highland Park cemetery. The Rev. Paul Gutknecht of Belding will officiate. Subsequent Publication: Monday, September 29, 1947 Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Paul Gutenecht at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock for Mrs. Ida Knickrehm, 61, of Yeomans street who died Thursday morning at 4:45 o’clock at the Ionia County Memorial hospital. Interment was in Highland Park cemetery. Her bearers were Louis Emery, Maurice Weiers, Harry Showers and Francis Zanders. Persons attending services from out of town were Mrs. Katherine Fett and Mrs. L. Wunder of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Emery of Pontiac and Mrs. Frank Smith of Flint.
