The Ionia Daily Standard, Monday, December 16, 1907


There was a very large attendance at the funeral service for Mrs. Alex. A. 
Knight, Saturday afternoon, in spite of the bad storm and deep snow.  The 
service was conducted by Rev. E. E. Branch, assisted by Rev. W. K. Spencer, 
D.D.  The singing was by Mr. and Mrs. Thane Benedict, Mrs. Wm. Todd and Dr. L. 
W. Yates.  There were many floral tributes, testifying to the wide sympathy for 
family and respect for the good woman gone before.  The bearers were: Dr. 
Beckwith, James Vosper, M. L. Steele, E. T. Yeomans, I. E. Thacher, M. H. 
Amphlett.  All the children of deceased were present.  Interment was in Oak 
Hill cemetery.
