Knott died at the family residence here Monday morning about nine o’clock and her death marks the passing of another of Belding’s respected pioneers. The deceased was born Feb. 11, 1829. Her maiden name was Laura A. Finch. Her second marriage was to Wm. A. Knott in Greenville April 13, 1867, when she moved to Belding, residing here since then except for a short time in Waterford. She was a most excellent woman, a kind neighbor and friend. For several years her health has been broken and her mind impaired, becoming a constant care for Mr. and Mrs. Dell Cobb, who have been caring for the old folks during their declining years. She leaves besides her aged husband one son, Will J, Knott, who arrived from Perry, Okla. A few hours before her death. The funeral was held at the home this afternoon, Mrs. O. F. Webster conducting the service. A good woman is gone.
