Ionia Sentinel Standard, 7 Sep 1971

Mrs. Donna B. Koch, 93, of Grand Rapids and former resident of the Lake Odessa 
area, died Monday morning at St. Marys hospital in Grand Rapids where she had 
been a patient for the past several days.  She had been transferred from Grand 
Valley nursing home. 

Born November 30, 1877, in Carton township of Barry County, she was a daughter 
of George and Hannah Snyder Gerkey.  Her husband, Horace, preceded her in death 
several years ago.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Donna Altman of Canfield, Ohio, Mrs. 
Olga Ungahick of Youngstown, Ohio, four grandchildren and several great-
grandchildren.

The body is at Pickens Funeral chapel in Lake Odessa where services will be at 
1:30 p.m. Wednesday.  Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
