People Pass Away This Jan. Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Koch of Marshall Follow Each Other Closely. Mr. Koch Had a Harness Shop Here. Mrs. J.B. Koch of Marshall died at her home January 16, after months of failing health. The funeral was held January 18, and burial was at Ann Arbor. January 26, Mr. Koch passed away after only a recent illness. His funeral was also held at Marshall and burial was by the side of his wife at Ann Arbor. Mr. Koch was in the harness and leather goods business in the building now owned by Campbell & Gilson. They were early residents here, coming about the time the village was started. They were identified with the Methodist church while in this village and Mr. Koch was prominently connected with the I.O.O.F. and other fraternal organizations. Those left to mourn their parents are Horace of Grand Rapids, Clayton of Marshall, Russell of Clare and Blossom, not Mrs. John Neilands of Ann Arbor. Mrs. Russell Koch was formerly Miss Josie Clark, a daughter of Frank Clark, for many years a postmaster here. There are 17 grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Koch were both more than 70 years of age. They celebrated their golden wedding two years ago.
