Dec. 8, 1921 Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the house for the late John Cook, one of the pioneer residents of Ionia, whose death occurred Sunday evening. Mr. Cook was 72 years old and had been a sufferer for several months. Besides his wife he leaves one daughter, Mrs. Chauncey Antcliff, and two sons, Fred and George Cook, both of Grand Rapids. Mrs. Jennie Chick, Hall street, is a sister. Besides Mrs. Chick he leaves three other sisters and two brothers. Mr. Cook was an expert stone mason, having worked at that trade for many years.
