Charles R. Koelzer, 68, of 430 Detroit St., Portland, died July 27 at Lansing 
hospital.  He was born Aug. 25, 1917 in Portland, the son of George and Myrtle 
Hill Koelzer.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; one son, William of Fountain Valley, Calif.; 
one daughter, Mrs. James (Lynn) Weiber of Lansing; 5 grandchildren; two 
brothers, Phillip of Portland and Frederick of San Antonio, Tex.; two sisters, 
Phyllis Holly and Mabel Smith, both of Portland.

Rosary services will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Neller Funeral Home of 
Portland.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s 
Catholic Church in Portland.  Burial will be in Portland Cemetery.  Pallbearers 
will be Phillip Koelzer, Dennis Holly, Douglas, Kenneth, Darryl, and Steven 
Smith.
