Sharon Kay Koerner, aged 72, of Saranac passed away September 20, 2014.  She 
was born September 16, 1942 in Midland the daughter of Harold and Bernice 
(Brady) Decker. 

Sharon married Paul Koerner August 15, 1964 in Midland, he preceded her in 
death just a month prior.  She was a longtime member of the Owosso Free 
Methodist Church and was the nursery director there for 20 years.  Sharon was a 
Nurse working at Midland Hospital before her retirement. 

She is survived by her Son, Robert (Cindy) Koerner of Saranac; grandson, Kyle 
Koerner of Saranac; brothers, Gerald (Florence) Decker of Saginaw, Arnold 
(Gloria) Decker of Midland and Donald (Ruth) Decker of Sanford; brother and 
sister-in-law, Dean and Madelyn Koerner of Corunna.  She was preceded in death 
by her brother Burton and two sisters Evelyn Caulkins and Barbara Jasmine. 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Koerner will be held at the Saranac Community Church 
Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Parker officiating.  Visitation will be on 
Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.  Those 
wishing may make memorial contributions to the Saranac School Band.
