The death of Johanna Kohn occurred at the family residence in Keene Wednesday 
morning at the age of 75 years.  She was born in Luxenburg Germany in 1832 and 
came to America with her parents when she was 13 years old.

In 1851 she married Anton Kohn at Albany, N.Y. and 52 years ago they came to 
Michigan and settled at first at Cooks Corners then in 1860 came to the farm in 
Keene where she and her estimable husband have since resided, honored and 
respected by all who know them.

Besides her husband now 87 years old, two sons, Anthony M. who lives on the old 
farm and John Kohn of East Otisco and two daughters Mrs. Geo Faber of 
Greenville, and Mrs. J.M. Laux, of Keene.  The funeral will be held Friday at 
the Catholic church in Miriam at 10 o’clock a.m.
