Belding Banner, 13 Feb 1908

One of the old pioneers of Keene township and a highly respected resident, aged
88 years, died of old age Sunday morning at his home where he had lived for many
years.  The funeral was held from the Catholic church in Miriam, Wednesday
morning and was largely attended, the Rev. Fr. Zindler officiating.  The
deceased leaves two sons, John F. and Anthony Kohn also two daughters, Mrs.
George Faber of Greenville and Mrs. J. M. Laux of Keene.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in Miriam St. Mary’s Cemetery.]
