Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Fri. March 21, 1980

LOWELL- York D. Kohn, 80, of 9620 Potters Rd., Saranac, died Tuesday at the 
Cherry Creek Nursing Home, Lowell.

He was born Dec, 21, 1899 to Anthony and Minnie (Gork) Kohn, and was a Keene 
Township farmer all his life. 

He married Margaret TenCate may 20, 1920, who preceded him in death in 1970.

Surviving him are one daughter, Mrs. Andrew (Elaine) Olson of Saranac; a 
granddaughter, Jan Olson of Detroit, and a brother, Paul Kohn of Belding.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home, Saranac. The Rev. 
Edwin Mendenhall will officiate. Burial will be in the Saranac Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives Friday fro 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 
8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Those wishing to make contributions in his name may  make them to the charity 
of their choice.
