Daily Sentinel-Standard - Monday, July 26, 1943

Frank F. Kohn, 45, of 615 Benton Court, died suddenly Sunday morning at 11:01 a.m. 
in Blodgett Memorial hospital, Grand Rapids, where he had been taken by ambulance a

week ago. He had submitted to an operation for appendicitis several weeks ago and 
was thought to have been completely recovered when taken seriously ill a week ago. 

He was born May 7, 1898, in Tuscon, and had lived in Ionia for the past 17 years. 
March 20, 1922, he was married and his wife Grace, survives him. He was employed for

twelve years by Ypsilati Reed Furniture company and by General Motors corporation 
for the past six years. He worked in the maintenance division of AC Spark Plug 
division of General Morors. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church.

He is survived by his widow, Grace; a daughter, Loraine, a senior in Ionia high 
school; his mother, Mrs. Bertha Hefner of Morley; six brothers, Herman, Reynold, 
Arnold and William of Morley; Irvin of Howard City and Harold; with the armed forces

overseas; three sisters, Mrs. Andrew Burke of Howard City, Mrs. Leon Pierce of Ionia

and Mrs. Theodore Hefner of Lansing.

Prayer services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Myers 
funeral home and at 2 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran church. Rev. R. A. Rook will 
officiate and burial will be in Highland Park cemetery. The casket will not be 
opened at the church.
