Elizabeth H. Kopchick, age 84, of Crystal, formerly of Muir, passed away Nov. 
23, 2004, in Grand Rapids.  She was born Oct. 16, 1920 in Chicago, Ill, the 
daughter of William and Bessie (Strachan) Harrison.

She graduated from Central High School in Lansing and attended Adrian College, 
then completed her degree at the University of Michigan.  She graduated with a 
Bachelor Degree in Psychology in 1945 and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

She was also a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.  Elizabeth married Joseph 
Kopchick M.D. in 1945.  She was a member of Ionia County Memorial Hospital 
Auxiliary, vice chairman of the Ionia County Republican Party and a former 
active member of Muir Presbyterian Church.  She was a long time resident of 
Muir.

She is survived by her loving husband Dr. Joseph Kopchick, formerly of Muir; 
sons Joseph (Kathleen) Kopchick of Rochester Hills, Dr. John (Constance) 
Kopchick of Grand Rapids; daughters Dr. Margaret (Russell) Burken of Toccoa, 
Ga., Mary (Michael) Kistler of Savannah, Ga., Anne (James) Murray of Lexington, 
Ky., and 12 grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her grandson Joseph 
Alexander Kopchick.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Sat., Dec. 11, 2004, at Lyons Muir 
Church with Rev. Kathy Clark officiating.  Interment will be held at Oakwood 
Cemetery in Muir.  The family will receive friends and relatives Sat., Dec. 11, 
from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.  Anyone wishing may make a 
memorial contribution in Elizabeth’s name to Lyons Muir Church or Village Food 
Kitchen.
