The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, July 19, 1965
Mrs. Leonora C. Kortes, 46, wife of Howard Kortes of 405 Kent Street, 
Portland, died early Monday morning in an ambulance en route to St. Lawrence 
hospital in Lansing.  She was a graduate of Central Michigan university and a 
former school teacher.  Her husband and son own and operate the Portland 
theater and St. Johns drive-in theater.

Surviving besides her husband are three children, Margo, Thomas and Mary Lee 
at home; her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Leo Lehman and a sister, Mrs. Marian Kokx, 
all of Portland.  

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Neller funeral home with burial 
at Portland cemetery.
