Kosbar, 86, died about 5:30 Friday night at her home 640 North Jefferson street, where she had resided the past 45 years. Born in Ionia May 29, 1879, the daughter of Fred and Ernestine Gallup Hass, and was married at Ionia Lutheran church December 24, 1898 to Charles Kosbar. He died in 1957. Mrs. Kosbar was employed several years at Ionia Manufacturing company. She was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran church and a member of the ladies Aid Society of the church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Rose Marsh of Ionia and Mrs. Frieda Barton of Battle Creek; one son, Lester Kosbar of Owosso; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Rose Repik and Mrs. Anna Shellenberger of Ionia. Funeral service will be at St. John Lutheran church Monday at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Marvin C. Hueller will officiate and interment will be at Highland Park cemetery. A memorial fund for St. John Lutheran church has been established. The body will be at Boynton Funeral home until 2 o’clock Monday afternoon.
