James M.Koster
James M.Koster, 65, of Westphalia died Nov. 21, 1994.

Mr. Koster was born in Westphalia Oct. 18,1929, the son of Louis and Oliva
(Trierweiler) Koster. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of
the Westphalia Fire Department, serving as fire Chief for several years. He was a member
of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, the St. Joseph Society, and the Catholic Order of 
Forresters and received a citation for Honorary Public Service in recognition of the
years he devoted to public service.

Survivors include two brothers, Paul Koster of Chippewa Lake and William (Marilyn)
Koster of Portland; three sisters, Connie Koster, Monica (Fred) Sanders, and Marie (Robert)
Reynolds, all of Lansing; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 23 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in
Westphalia, with Rev. James Schmitt officiating. Interment followed at St. Mary's
Catholic Cemetery in Westphalia.
