The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, November 7, 1955


Funeral services for Charles J. Koutz who died Thursday morning were conducted 
Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the East Odessa Wesleyan Methodist church by 
the Rev. Raymond Durkee assisted by the Rev. Delores Lobdell.  Vocalist was 
Alton Watts and pianist was Miss Helen Lewis.

Pallbearers were Vernon Koutz,…(portion illegible)…John Moes, Benjamin Carter 
and Irvin Hall.  Interment was at Lakeside cemetery.

Attending the services from out of town were Mrs. Martha Johnson and Mr. and 
Mrs. Harry Pew of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Joppie of Port Huron, Alicia 
Johnson of Houghton, N.Y., Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Koutz of Fulton, Mr. and Mrs. 
Don Koutz and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Oversmith of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Alton 
Watts of Anderson, Ind., and Mrs. Elizabeth Witty of Detroit.
