Mrs. Charles (Charlotte) Koutz, 85, died Tuesday, September 23, at her farm 
home on Lake Odessa Route 2 following a stroke suffered a week ago.  She was 
born in Wroxeter, Ont., June 14, 1877.  She moved to Odessa township when a 
small girl with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Musgrove, and has 
resided in that vicinity since then.  She and her husband had been married 57 
years.  She was a member of the East Odessa Wesleyan Methodist church, and the 
East Odessa Missionary society.

Surviving are the husband; a son, Lloyd, of Lake Odessa Route 2; four 
daughters, Mrs. Alton Joppie of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Harley Johnson of Lansing 
and Mrs. Bertha Bartlett and Mrs. Harry Wagner of Ionia; seven grandchildren; 
and one great-grandchild.

The body reposes at Maples funeral home in Sunfield until Friday at 9 a.m. 
when it will be taken to the family home.  At 11 a.m. it will be removed to 
the East Odessa Wesleyan Methodist church for services Friday at 2 p.m.  The 
Rev. Delores Lobdell will officiate. Interment will be in Lakeside cemetery.
