Hit on Head With Stone Kramer Boy Dies Monday 
Supposed to Have Received Fatal Injury While Playing With Companion
Returning to the house after playing with several small companions, Saturday 
afternoon, Doyle, the four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Kramer, who reside 
on the west side of the river, complained of pain in his head. Upon examining 
the child the mother found a bad bruise on the side of his head. The wound was 
given immediate attention but the child steadily grew worse, until Sunday 
morning Dr. G.D. Allen was called, the little fellow a short time later going 
into convulsions passing away Monday morning from concussion of the brain.
The injury is supposed to have been caused by a stone thrown by one of his 
companions, which struck him in the head.
Funeral services were held from the residence, Wednesday afternoon. Interment 
was made in Portland cemetery.

Additional Comments:
Doyle was the son of Florence Richards and James Kramer, the family resided on 
Church St. in Portland.
